Maureen Teller
Maureen has been a dancer throughout most of her life, dancing with a number of dance companies, including Cincinnati's Contemporary Dance Theater. As a homeschooling mother of 7 children, she has kept active in her interest in the performing arts, especially dance and theater. Maureen has taught movement and dance to children in a number of settings including private schools and homeschool co-ops. She has also been very active in theater for children, doing backyard summer theater camps, co-directing homeschool high school productions and last summer helping create a college (homeschool alumnae) summer theater company. Most recently, Maureen and three friends from the "dance world" put together an exciting event at Fountain Square. Inspired by the youTube video of spontaneous dancing in the train station at Antwerp, Belgium (look it up!), they choreographed a dance, gathered dancers (150!) and put on a surprise show for the downtown business crowd at lunchtime this past August! Maureen is very excited to bring her love of movement and creativity to the children at HELP homeschool!
